Is my foreskin becoming more fragile with age?

January 20, 2008
I'm 35, uncut, and not very sexually active. As I was showering, I pulled my foreskin back and felt a stinging sensation. It seemed I caused a tear or cut on the skin between the head and shaft of my dick. I don't have a lot of foreskin but it does cover the head. Is it old age, or is my skin losing resiliency? I'm concerned this will interfere with oral sex and jackoff sessions.—Anonymous
Tears and cuts along the foreskin and the head of one’s dick are common occurrences in uncut men. This is even more common in men such as yourself who are not very sexually active, as well as those with chronic inflammation and infection problems. You’re only 35 so you’re certainly not experiencing any problems from your age. Just take a few days off from jacking off and oral sex until everything heals back to normal. Don’t use an ointment either, as they generally slow the healing process on your dick rather than help it.

Oh, and be careful when you jack off, okay? You’d hate to tear something just before you cum. If you’re worried it may happen again use a good lube like Wet when you next beat your meat. —Aaron Lawrence
