In the past year or so, my penis has become "two-toned," as if a past tan has peeled in certain areas. It's making me self-conscious. Do you know of some safe products to apply to make the remaining areas "shed" or "peel" to become normal looking again? You can imagine how abnormal it looks to have various areas a tan color, and other areas a normal flesh tone.
According to the esteemed Doctor Goldstone, you may be experiencing vitiligo, a condition where the skin loses pigment in some areas. Alternately, it may be hyperpigmentation in other areas, making other parts of your body appear darker. Regardless of which it is, you should see dermatologist. He (or she if you're not afraid of female physicians) will be able to give you a much better idea of what your condition is and how it can be treated.
I do hope you won't be embarrassed and will go see a doctor about this. Having sex with the light's out is fun, but not if it's because you're embarrassed about having someone see what your body looks like.
