As far as HIV is concerned, it's pretty safe, yes. As long as your partner has no visible sores from the complications associated with AIDS, you're probably okay. Unfortunately, there are still a host of other STDs that you can contract, such as herpes, gonorrhea, hepatitis, and parasitic infections. Being vaccinated for hepatitis A and B is a must for gay men, because it eliminates those worries.
