How does an escort or client avoid legal harassment?

January 21, 2008
How can someone like me protect themselves from fakes and police when enlisting the services of an escort?—Anonymous
Street hustling is a quality of life crime - it is often associated with other forms of illegal activity and is therefore targeted far more than other methods. With the exception of the occasional areas (Buffalo comes to mind) most police departments are far too busy to bother with elaborate string operations to entrap clients. In all likelihood you'll be safe from police if you don't hire street/bar hustlers and if you trust your instincts.

Fakes are easier to spot. Talk to them. Email with them a few times. Professionals will answer your questions in a brief, concise, and accurate manner. Fakes will probably give you all sorts of strange lines. If something seems wrong, it probably is. Again, trust your instincts.—Aaron Lawrence
